Inital Login Issues
First search your email inbox and spam folders for emails from priviaone@priviahealth.com with a subject line "Your account has been created".
If you still don't find the welcome email check with your Privia Connect Admin, this is typically your Office Manager, the welcome email is sent to the email address they set when they registered your account in Privia's People and Location Management tool (formerly called the roster). If your email is incorrect your Privia Connect Admin should set the correct email. But you will need to contact the Help Desk to get your privia.one identity and inital welcome email to proceed.
Call 888.774.8428 24x7 or email helpdesk@priviahealth.com (email responses maybe delayed by 48 hours)
Follow the instructions on the account recovery page.
No! The welcome email is a secure email specifically for your account. Please do not forward the welcome email.
Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS)
Your privia.one password IS NOT the same as your EPCS password. Your EPCS password is your old athenaOne password. In order to synchronize your EPCS / old athenaOne password with your new privia.one password click here.
EPCS Configuration Guide and Password Synchronization Procedure (For Full Details with Screenshots)
In the purple menu bar, click the Gear Icon > User Profile
Click the Password tab to create your athenaOne password. This will be the password utilized when signing controlled substances (separate from the password you previously set for your Privia. One account setup).
Password Criteria:
Must be a minimum of 15 characters.
Must not contain the first name, last name, or username address on that account.
Must not be a weak password (e.g., “Password” or “11111111”) or commonly used password (based on a database of over 1 million common passwords).
After you click Save, a new window will open requesting for you to enter your Privia. One account username and password
Hint: Your Privia. One account looks something like c000-000@privia.one
Once authenticated, it will bring you back to the athena screen to continue with Section 4 below.
Multi-Factor Authentication
No, you are not required to use a mobile phone for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), but using one is often the most convenient way to keep your account secure.
Your Options: We want you to feel comfortable with how you access your account. You have three choices for receiving your security codes:
Email (No Phone Required): You can choose to have your 6-digit security codes sent directly to your email address. This allows you to log in using only your computer.
Authenticator App (Recommended): If you choose to use an app like Google or Microsoft Authenticator on your personal phone, please know that Privia cannot see your personal data. These apps do not give Privia access to your photos, texts, or location; they simply generate a random code to prove it’s really you.
Text Message (SMS): You can choose to receive a quick text with your code.
A Note on Privacy: We respect your privacy. Whether you provide a phone number for texts or use an authenticator app, Privia only uses this information to verify your identity. Your personal contact information will never be shared with third parties for marketing.
What is an Authenticator App? Think of it as a digital key on your phone. Instead of waiting for a text message, you open the app to get a 6-digit security code that proves it’s really you logging in.
Why use an app instead of a text?
It’s faster: No waiting for a text to arrive.
No signal needed: It works even if you are in a "dead zone" or a basement clinic with no cell service.
Can Privia see my personal photos or data? No. The app only generates random numbers. It does not give Privia access to your texts, photos, location, or any other personal information on your phone.
How do I get it? Go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Both are free and take less than a minute to set up.
iPhone (Apple App Store)
Google Authenticator | Microsoft Authenticator
Android (Google Play Store)
Google Authenticator | Microsoft Authenticator
You can recover your account by following the instructions on the Account Recovery page
